  14. this might interest a few of you. In the tcpip suites (i.e.
  15. tcpip-0.8[.1].tar.Z or b4/tcpip.taz under SLS) there is a shell
  16. script called rc.net in /usr/etc/inet
  17. which is called by rc.local during boot up.
  18. Make sure that you set the execute bit for this shell script is set.
  19. Otherwise, the daemons will not be executed. You could also add
  20. a 'sh' in front of rc.net in rc.local. I hope this helps someone
  21. out. I spent many a frustrated hour last night getting things up
  22. and running. But it was worth it. As I write this, I am displaying
  23. Mathemtica graphics under X Windows that I calculated on a remote
  24. machine. The remote client support is AWESOME. Thanks to everyone.
