  10. I just got ~7 MB news via uucp, and my machine was really doing much
  11. disk accesses. Now afterwards I was ineterested in how much news I got
  12. (uncompressed), and so did 
  13. # cd /usr/spool/news
  14. # du

  16. This was fine until it reached the end of the comp-groups. There is nothing
  17. after the line

  21. I had the efs spit on me before, but that is long ago and killed a directory
  22. in a way that when accessing it, the machine died and had to be rebooted.

  24. STOP! CORRECTION! The process just started working again :-)
  25. So now I know how much news I have. It still bothers me that there is this
  26. pause of several seconds after ./comp!
