- I've just installed LILO on my sls ( 0.98.1 ) system. It looks good, but
- I'm slightly confused by what the docs say...
-
- Is LILO supposed to allow me to switch between different partitions on
- the same disk? I've went with the defaulted /etc/lilo/install file, since
- I have linux on my /dev/hda2 partition, and ms-dos 5.0 on the first partition.
- Yet, when I try to reboot...the system comes up immediately into Linux.
-
- When I try to use activate with the following line, nothing seems to
- change:
-
- /etc/lilo/activate /dev/hda 1
-
- I still boot in linux. I am going to try downloading the pfdisk.tar.Z
- file to see if BOOTACTI will allow switching to occur.
-
- I'd appreciate any comments.
-
- thanks
