  14. I finally upgraded to pl5 today, rebooted, and found i couldn't login
  15. as there was no login prompt! I rebooted back to pl1 and found a core
  16. file belonging to getty (i use the getty from getty_ps). I remade getty
  17. but found the problem still occuring, gdb indicating a problem in
  18. write.

  20. I changed inittab to use the getty from the poeigl package, and that
  21. works fine with both pl1 and pl5, although it seems to take longer to
  22. start up.

  24. So, i can use pl5, but as i sometimes use uugetty on ttys1, (which i
  25. presume will break also), i'd like to solve this problem.

  27. Before i look further, has anyone else seen or solved this ?
