- I finally upgraded to pl5 today, rebooted, and found i couldn't login
- as there was no login prompt! I rebooted back to pl1 and found a core
- file belonging to getty (i use the getty from getty_ps). I remade getty
- but found the problem still occuring, gdb indicating a problem in
- write.
-
- I changed inittab to use the getty from the poeigl package, and that
- works fine with both pl1 and pl5, although it seems to take longer to
- start up.
-
- So, i can use pl5, but as i sometimes use uugetty on ttys1, (which i
- presume will break also), i'd like to solve this problem.
-
- Before i look further, has anyone else seen or solved this ?
