  12. I currently run 0.98.1, skipping the upgrade to 0.98.2 since all the problems
  13. with it.  However, I have compiled 0.98.[345], and all of them exhibit a
  14. problem with Xwindows.  I start up X, the screen goes into graphics mode,
  15. and then the machine hangs before the X background is drawn on the screen.
  16. I have seen posts concerning this, but not a solution.  X's stderr output
  17. just includes the "no tcp socket" message, and that's it.  It did not
  18. provide a more useful solution.  This problem existed with tcp compiled
  19. in, and left out.

  33. If anyone has any info, I'd love to know.  SLIP has advanced to the newer
  34. kernels, and I'd like to keep up with the SLIP progress.  Thanks...
