- Just grabbed 0.98.5 (complete source tree) and, after a backup, replaced my
- 0.98 source tree. I also upgraded from gcc2.2.2d to gcc2.2.2d7 (with
- jumptables 4.1).
-
- When trying to compile the kernel, I get a problem in the scsi code with
- crt0.o -- I grabbed what appeared to be a new crt0.s from tsx-11 and
- assembled it (as -o crt0.o crt0.s); didn't work.
-
- I can't find any old news on it (my site is regularly purged) and really
- don't know where to go from here.
-
- The kernel does compile correctly up to that point. If I just have the
- crt0.s file (in /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-linux/2.2.2d and /usr/lib) I get
- nothing as well -- just a file not found error.
-
- Clues, or a copy of someone's working crt0.o file would be greatly
- appreciated.
