  14. Hi, I have a minor problem, using the SLS 0.98pl1 package with Linux 0.98pl5.

  16. Running w on my system i get something like:
  17. User   tty    idle
  18. root    some data
  19. sync   ttyp1  2days
  20.  
  21. Now, sync wasn't supposed to be there. ps -axu doesn't show anyone but root.
  22. Looking into the wtmp file, I see that sync was logged in at some time, and
  23. then crash.

  25. Seems like someone hasn't cleaned up the utmp file propperly. Anyone who knows
  26. how to solve this problem?
