  14. Hey you Linux people.  What's up.
  15. I found some cool graphics programs for X windows that compile straight away
  16. and play some various formats.  There is zaps_xflick.tar.Z on phoenix.oulu.fi
  17. in /pub/incoming- it seems to be an excellent FLI player which works very
  18. well with 256-color colormaps (you can also get some FLIs at the same site in
  19. /pub/RayTracker_demos- try machine.lzh if you have a LOT of memory!).  It will
  20. even play the new FLI format with 640x480x256 resolution frames.
  21. Also I found xanim229.tar.Z on amiga.physik.unizh.ch in /amiga/gfx/show.
  22. It will also play FLI files plus GIF 87 and 89a and Amiga IFF animations.
  23. It too compiles straight away for Linux.  It doesn't seem to be as kind with
  24. the colormaps (allocates the whole thing when it has the focus) but it seems
  25. to work pretty well, at least with FLI files.
  26. Anyway I just thought some people would be interested!
