- Hey you Linux people. What's up.
- I found some cool graphics programs for X windows that compile straight away
- and play some various formats. There is zaps_xflick.tar.Z on phoenix.oulu.fi
- in /pub/incoming- it seems to be an excellent FLI player which works very
- well with 256-color colormaps (you can also get some FLIs at the same site in
- /pub/RayTracker_demos- try machine.lzh if you have a LOT of memory!). It will
- even play the new FLI format with 640x480x256 resolution frames.
- Also I found xanim229.tar.Z on amiga.physik.unizh.ch in /amiga/gfx/show.
- It will also play FLI files plus GIF 87 and 89a and Amiga IFF animations.
- It too compiles straight away for Linux. It doesn't seem to be as kind with
- the colormaps (allocates the whole thing when it has the focus) but it seems
- to work pretty well, at least with FLI files.
- Anyway I just thought some people would be interested!
- happy animations
