- MY computer is as follows:
- 386-40
- 4MB-70ns RAM
- 65MB ST-277R drive, 28ms access, 650kB transfer rate.
- Monochrome running on a standard color VGA (8-bit card)

- My problem is that I think that X is far too slow. What Can
- I do to speed the computer up??? When I type startx -np am
- I not disabling TCP. I would rather not have TCP at all and
- use the Extra RAM instead of swapping it to disk.
- ++ Can anybody help me with my monitor I have:
- Card: 25 28 26 Mhz clock occilators on card
- Moniter: 31.5khz horizontal, 60-70khz vertical
- (I figure the Monitor is the weak link)
