- Hi. I originally installed 98pl1 (SLS) and upgraded myself up to
- 98.pl3. After all the talk about pl5 breaking binaries, I decided
- to roll the dice and go for the SLS pl5 install from scratch.
- Well, I crapped out.............
-
- The whole installation went fine except zafix.taz. Mine wasn't zero
- length (I got it from tsx), but it had tons of errors. I think
- the main jist was "dev/whatever: no such file" whenever it tried
- a chmod or mknod, etc. (I think you need the slash in front of dev
- in the script (like I have any idea))
-
- So it got done and said "now reboot"
- Well, it went along for a while, right up past "Partition table ok".
- Then it hung!!!
-
- I knew I should have just upgraded by hand. :(
