- I have been having problems with a few X programs and was wondering if it
- was because these were old programs or what.
-
- I ftp'd GWM (from sunsite I think) and installed it on my machine.
- I took out my call to twm and added this line in its place:
-
- exec gwm -qf mwm
-
- Fine. I start up my x session by doing 'startx' and X crashes. I get this
- error:
-
- gwm: Can't load library '/lib/libX11.1.1'
-
- hmmm.
- Is this an old lib file? I believe the closest thing to this in my lib
- directory was liX11.so.2.1. So, can I still use this version of gwm? And
- if not does anyone have the sources so I can compile a new version?
-
-
- I Also have tried downloading xv from several places and keep having this
- problem: When I try to untar it, Tar tells me it doesn't think it's a tar
- file. This is AFTER uncompressing it!
