  12. Upgrading to patch level 5 maimed bash (shared 2.2.2) for me. The effects were
  13. very subtle, were only noticed by make (usually core dumping on shell scripts)
  14. and took me a while to localise due to the fact the messages generated made it
  15. look like a segmentation fault in make.

  17. The problem was fixed by recompiling bash with jump 4.1 libraries.

  19. Just thought this might be of help to anyone having the same problem.
