- Upgrading to patch level 5 maimed bash (shared 2.2.2) for me. The effects were
- very subtle, were only noticed by make (usually core dumping on shell scripts)
- and took me a while to localise due to the fact the messages generated made it
- look like a segmentation fault in make.

- The problem was fixed by recompiling bash with jump 4.1 libraries.
