  20. I have patches to let each VC use its own char. set.  Unfortunately,
  21. the patches are for 0.96 or so, and never made it into the standard
  22. distribution.  When I finally upgrade my system, I'll upgrade the
  23. patches.  If you're in a hurry, you may want to look at the code
  24. (called codepage.tar.Z -- I forget where it is on tsx, however), and
  25. modify it.  It's not very complicated.

  27. Basically, font data is read from DOS .cp files (because I already
  28. have those, and they are easy to make/find).  Each VC then has its own
  29. char. set.  Currently, I am using English, Hebrew, and Cyrilic.  (I
  30. also have hebrew.el and russian.el files for Emacs, but you have to
  31. know how to touch type in those languages.)
