  12. I poked aound some more and found that nothing on A3 was being installed.  It
  13. seems that I get a message "stdin not in compressed format" while the install
  14. script is trying to read the base tar.

  16. I downloaded the complete SLS suite from the VWIS Linux Support BBS via zmodem
  17. and copied the files (after a2) onto dos diskettes.  Is there someway I could
  18. have caused a byte ordering problem in this process??  Somehow it seems tar is
  19. confused by my files...
