- Hi...
-
- Based on the recommendations of a friend...I'm getting
- intrigued with Linux. I'm currently running a Public Access site on
- ISC SVR3.2 (the old version) and it is a bare bones thing. No
- X-windows, no TCP/IP. I was considering upgrading to SysVR4 (ESIX),
- but Linux has an advantage over it...it is free...which would be great
- if it supported things and was reliable.
-
- So...what I would like to know is...is it something that me
- and my users could rely on?
-
- 1) will it support an AST 4Port board?
- 2) how is the ESDI support?
-
- Basically...what can I expect or not expect from Linux?
-
- I realize that this is vague, but figure it should act as a
- start at least :)
-
- Marc
-
- P.S. please reply by email if you can...but do not send an FAQ...I can
- read that here...I prefer email as then I don't miss something
