- Hello there,
- I am currently in the process of purchasing a 486-50DX EISA
- machine, and I would like to install linux on it. I was wondering a couple
- of things, since I am not too well versed in this stuff.
-
- 1) would linux support the EISA architecture?
-
- 2) what i/o devices does linux support? i dont think I phrased this
- correctly, so, like, what disk controller, does it support SCSI II? in
- particular the DTC3290, does it support the 32bit Graphics Accelerator
- card? Does it support a SCSI II disk drive? ie. stuff like that.
-
- Any information would be greatly appreciated, and I am sorry if some of
- this stuff is repititive ( actually, if there is a FAQ, I would appreciate
- a copy of that also. ) If one could also point me to the right place to
- look, I would also appreciate that.
-
- Thanks.
