  14. Hello there,
  15.     I am currently in the process of purchasing a 486-50DX EISA
  16. machine, and I would like to install linux on it.  I was wondering a couple
  17. of things, since I am not too well versed in this stuff.

  19. 1) would linux support the EISA architecture?

  21. 2) what i/o devices does linux support? i dont think I phrased this
  22. correctly, so, like, what disk controller, does it support SCSI II? in
  23. particular the DTC3290, does it support the 32bit Graphics Accelerator
  24. card? Does it support a SCSI II disk drive? ie. stuff like that.

  26. Any information would be greatly appreciated, and I am sorry if some of
  27. this stuff is repititive ( actually, if there is a FAQ, I would appreciate
  28. a copy of that also. ) If one could also point me to the right place to
  29. look, I would also appreciate that.
