- I installed patch 5 for the kernel the other night. However, it
- seems to have broken many of my binaries.
-
- I read Linus' note about the sigaction problem and the read-only
- text section stuff, but it seems as if I'm having more trouble
- than others...
-
- bash 1.12.3, tcsh 6.02, uugetty and su are all broken. The shell
- binaries are dated late September; su and uugetty I compiled myself
- within the last month. I'm using GCC 2.2.2d7 and jumplibs 4.1.
-
- tcsh won't even start, it just dumps core. bash runs, but is
- severely crippled: it doesn't seem to be able to evaluate conditions.
- This breaks all but the simplest of makefiles (can't compile the
- kernel, can't even re-compile bash)...
-
- Is anybody else having this much trouble? If not, where did you get
- the binaries that work?
-
