  11. Anyone got any pointers on installing Type 1 fonts into X ?

  13. I can put them in a dir. and all, but mkfontdir won't make a fonts.dir file,
  14. which isn't much of a hassle, since it's pretty trivial to make one up by
  15. copying another, but whenever you go to use one of them, there's an appaling
  16. wait while it scales it or something...
  17. I made a fonts.scale file, but it's exactly the same as the fonts.dir file
  18. (since that's what they're like on the other dirs...)

  20. Instead of having .afm files (as well as .pfa or .pfb), they have .pfm
  21. files, or whatever...
  22.  
  23. Any ideas, guys ???

  25. It'd be real nice to be able to use more than three or four Type 1 fonts...
