- Anyone got any pointers on installing Type 1 fonts into X ?
-
- I can put them in a dir. and all, but mkfontdir won't make a fonts.dir file,
- which isn't much of a hassle, since it's pretty trivial to make one up by
- copying another, but whenever you go to use one of them, there's an appaling
- wait while it scales it or something...
- I made a fonts.scale file, but it's exactly the same as the fonts.dir file
- (since that's what they're like on the other dirs...)
-
- Instead of having .afm files (as well as .pfa or .pfb), they have .pfm
- files, or whatever...
-
- Any ideas, guys ???
-
- It'd be real nice to be able to use more than three or four Type 1 fonts...
-
-
- Enjoy !
