- I recently installed a copy XFree86 on my newly installed 386BSD. I am
- experiencing many problems. Hope experts out there would help me out.

- Hardware:
- 40 MHz 386DX
- AMI BOIS 7/7/91
- No math coprocessor
- 8 meg ram
- 200 meg and 40 meg IDE drives
- Fahrenheit 1280 vedio card

- OS:
- 386BSD binary distribution from agate.berkeley.edu
- No source distribution, no etc dirstribution
- Updated kernel for XFree86
- XFree86 bininary distribution from the same ftp host
- X server is set to X386mono (trying to start generic VGA mode)

- Problems:
- Printer driver missing (/dev/lp)
- C compiler does not work with floating point numbers
- -- all numbers are rounded off to intgers
- Mtools does not work,
- message-- init: open: No such a file or dirctory
- X server will not start,
- message-- Fatal I/O error 32. Broken pipe on X server...
