- Someone posted not too long ago saying he had compiled MIT scheme
- under linux. I traded email with this guy, got no information where to
- get scheme, and lost his address. The article has since expired at my
- sites. Has anyone seen MIT scheme lying around anywhere obvious? I
- checked the usual ftp sites.
-
- I decided, heck, I'd compile it myself, and after wrestling with a few
- hours' worth of BSD terminal control and pseudo-tty bogosity got the
- microcode to compile, but not work. I'm much more interested in using
- Scheme (specifically, in using Scheme to do homework in a nice
- comfortable place like a coffeehouse, on my notebook, instead of in a
- nasty workstation cluster) than porting it.
-
- If someone doesn't have bandwidth to post the entire (huge) MIT Scheme
- binary set, hey, no problem, just send patches. I can compile it and
- put it up for ftp.
