- I will try asking this question again, a little differently.
-
- We have a VAXcluster running VMS 5.4-2 and DECnet Phase IV.
-
- We have a DECsystem 5000/200 running Ultrix 4.2C and DECnet/OSI 5.1
- (Phase V).
-
- Currently, in the headers for DECnet mail, I am seeing things like:
- Union_College:.DNA_Node.ANN or Union_College:.DNA_Node.ANN.DECnet
- sendmail w/IDA doesn't appear to like these.
-
- I have tried adding these to decnetnodes and domaintable but nothing
- seems to work.
-
- My goals:
- Mail from VMS to Ultrix shows as
-
- From: boehme%union_college:.dna_node.union.dnet
-
- To: boehme@unvax.dnet
-
- The From address would be okay if I could reply to it, but I can't. My
- goal is to reply to it.
-
- The To address should either be boehme@unvax or
- boehme@unvax.union.edu.
-
- Mail from Ultrix to VMS shows as:
-
- From: UNVAX::"Eric.Boehm@union.edu"
-
- To: ann::boehme
-
- The From address should be unvax::boehme or Eric.Boehm@union.edu. I
- suspect it is in this format because I am using generic aliases.
-
- Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated (even pointers to
- the appropriate documentation).
-
- Thanks in advance.
