  12. I will try asking this question again, a little differently.

  14. We have a VAXcluster running VMS 5.4-2 and DECnet Phase IV.
  15.  
  16. We have a DECsystem 5000/200 running Ultrix 4.2C and DECnet/OSI 5.1
  17. (Phase V).
  18.  
  19. Currently, in the headers for DECnet mail, I am seeing things like:
  20.   Union_College:.DNA_Node.ANN or Union_College:.DNA_Node.ANN.DECnet
  21. sendmail w/IDA doesn't appear to like these.

  23. I have tried adding these to decnetnodes and domaintable but nothing
  24. seems to work.

  26. My goals:
  27. Mail from VMS to Ultrix shows as 
  28.  
  29.   From:  boehme%union_college:.dna_node.union.dnet
  30.  
  31.   To: boehme@unvax.dnet
  32.  
  33. The From address would be okay if I could reply to it, but I can't. My
  34. goal is to reply to it.

  36. The To address should either be boehme@unvax or
  37. boehme@unvax.union.edu.

  39. Mail from Ultrix to VMS shows as:

  41.   From: UNVAX::"Eric.Boehm@union.edu"

  43.   To: ann::boehme
  44.  
  45. The From address should be unvax::boehme or Eric.Boehm@union.edu. I
  46. suspect it is in this format because I am using generic aliases.

  48. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated (even pointers to
  49. the appropriate documentation).
