- Here's my view on the mailing list problem. It's self-consistent, but
- there are other (inferior!) views.

- (1) No problem; the envelope-to address (what you hand to sendmail on
- the command line, but more specifically the address that in SMTP goes
- over as the argument to RCPT TO:) doesn't have to have much of anything
- to do with the header-to address.

- (2) Change the envelope-from address to be what the notices of delivery
- errors should be sent to. (The envelope-from address is what is given
- in SMTP on the MAIL FROM: line.) Again, this address doesn't have to
- have anything to do with what's in the From: line of the message header.
- This lets error bounces not be redistributed to the list.

- Sendmail has support for both of these features, but I'm not a sendmail
- expert, so I can't really tell you how it's done best.
