  13. I have the following problem:

  15. At our local computer pool mail will work properly, when it is given an
  16. address of the form <user@local-host.local-net.net.country>. If however
  17. the <local-host> is omitted, the mail will bounce with <host unknown>.
  18.  
  19. Is there any way I can fix that (without being supervisor)? If not, is
  20. there a way to get around the problem by simply forcing the local mail
  21. demon to send the mail to <somewhere> and let <somewhere> be bothered
  22. with looking up addresses and delovering the mail correctly?

  24. I'd appreciate answers, as it is a pain in the neck to be unable to
  25. reply to people mailing.
