- Elm uses what its given. If the options screen shows a full path name,
- thats what it will write, same for the compiled in values or elm.rc file.

- On values it builds out of the /etc/passwd file (remember it doesn't
- use $HOME itself, it recomputes it) at run time it uses the full path
- names as defaults and, yes, you will have to edit the elmrc file to
- change those to $HOME or ~ syntax.
