  42. I have a couple of comments, since I have written a split program
  43. also myself (the reference included).
  44.  
  45. 1) I very much welcome the alternatives to achieve the same tasks.
  46. 2) Greg's comes with Turbo Pascal sources.  An important plus.
  47. 3) If the base name is over 5 characters long and the switshes are
  48.    not used correctly, all but the last chuck are overwritten. Greg
  49.    might wish to look into this dilemma.
  50. 4) In the TP programming we have both utilized BlockRead.  This is
  51.    important, because else the programs are too slow for large
  52.    files.
