- This is kinda of a lame question that I need answered concerning the
- new Borland Pascal 7.0 with Objects. In all the literature from Borland
- that I have seen, they state that 2 megs of memory is required for
- programming in PROTECTED mode. Now please understand that I am NOT a true
- IBM/MS-DOS/Windows user. I just use Turbo Pascal 6.0 (and hopefully
- Borland Pascal 7.0) for programming on the IBM line of machines.
-
- So basically, my question is this: will Borland Pascal 7.0 with
- Objects run in REAL mode and if so, how much memory is required? It would
- seem that this question is an easy one but since I'm not that familiar with
- the different types of memory used and the different modes used, I have no
- idea what I'm talking about!
-
- I've got a '286 with 1 meg of memory. So, will Borland Pascal 7.0
- with Objects work at all?? I realize Turbo Pascal 7.0 with Objects only
- requires 512K of memory but I would really like to be able to use all the
- new goodies that come with Borland Pascal 7.0.
-
- Yeah, I know, get more memory... but please answer my question if you
- can and if you would.
-
-
- Thanks!
