- I have been unable to run an application for MS Windows compiled with
- MS Fortran on my 286. The manuals state that a 286 is OK, as is
- Windows 3.1, which is what I'm running. Following the example
- in the manual, I compile one of the sample applications. When
- I run the application, I get a "General Protection Fault" error
- from Windows. I've tried calling MS support, but, in typical MS
- fashion, they haven't deigned to return my calls. :-(
-
- If anyone knows definitively if an application written for Windows
- with MS Fortran will/won't work on a 286 processor with 4 Mb RAM,
- please let me know via e-mail (dschmidt@mail.cs.umn.edu)
-
- Thanks in advance,
- Dave
