- Yes, I'm aware of this and in fact I was complaining that I
- believed the problem to be overspecified. But I believe your problem
- is that you're looking at this from the wrong perspective.
- 1) This is a test of the potential employee. It is not a project
- to produce something useful. Therefore whether the overall design
- is foolish is not clearly relevant.

- 2) This is not a project in which a bubble sort is a part. It
- is a test to CREATE a bubble sort. Nothing more.

- Given these two facts, I think that I would be rather inclined to
- just go ahead and write the blinking bubble sort in this scenario,
- though if I were working on a project and were told to do so, I
- would surely protest.
