  20.      There's a revolution under way in computer  organizations
  21. across the country.  In increasing numbers, data processing
  22. departments are "downsizing" or "rightsizing," moving from
  23. mainframe computers to networks of workstations, PCs, and mid-
  24. range systems.  Is this a fad or the irresistible wave of the
  25. future?

  28. Des Plaines, Illinois, will talk on Trends and Opportunities in
  29. Networking to the Northern Illinois Chapter of the Data
  30. Processing Management Association (DPMA), at their monthly
  31. meeting on Thursday, December 10, 1992, at the Tollgate Inn, at
  32. I-88 and Route 31 North, Aurora, Illinois, at 7:45 PM.

  35. the 90's; meaning LANs, WANs, workstations, servers, bridges,
  36. routers, distributed processing, and client-server networks.
  37. Some computer pros see opportunity, while others see danger; is
  38. this a field of dreams or a minefield of nightmares?  Krakau will
  39. focus on what it takes, and what you need to know,  to make this
  40. compelling technology work and deliver the promised cost savings
  41. and productivity improvements, and at the same time avoid the
  42. pitfalls and potholes.  Krakau has been guiding companies through
