- Hi,
-
- I have some binary data (~100Mb) that I would like to put into
- some standard graphics format so that I can annotate and print
- some of the images. I have a program that a former professor
- here wrote that will make PostScript out of them, but I'm not
- happy with the results upon translation. The PostScript looks
- great printed, so I have been making "overlays" and merging
- PostScript files. (Well, I just take out the showpage.)
-
- If anyone could help with a good reference on SunRaster or GIF
- format, I would be greatly indebted! If there is another,
- simpler option, I'd love to hear that, too!
-
- I will be making a movie with the data in the not to distant
- future. I'd be thankful for personal opinions on the best way
- to go about this. I am using a UNIX based SUN system, and am
- currently planning to use a TAAC board for the project. I have
- access to PV-Wave. Should I learn this for my project? I also
- have access to a Silicon Graphics machine on the network. I
- don't know what software we have for it, but I could check if
- that would be my best bet.
-
- Thanks in advance,
-
