  11. I acquired a Truevision Bravado card and the following are some problems
  12. that I encounter:

  14. 1. I have problems running applications (eg windows 3.1, animator pro,
  15.    etc) in 800x600 resolution mode.  The manual says that the horiz.
  16.    scan rate = 38KHz and the vert. scan rate = 60 Hz for the card.
  17.    However, my monitor manual says it only goes up to 35 Khz and 56 Hz
  18.    respectively.  Is the difference in frequency that is causing the
  19.    problems?  Are there other ways of overcoming it other than to change
  20.    the monitor?

  22. 2. Images grabbed from the video window is stored either as a 24-bit or
  23.    16-bit true-color targa file.  When I displayed it in 640x480 256
  24.    colors, the images looks terrible.  The vendor claims that it is due
  25.    to the low resolution of my display.  Is it true?  Are there any
  26.    converter programs that can convert 32,000 colors images to 256 color
  27.    images?
