- I have a PC and Adobe Type Manager and would *love* to get the Star Trek
- fonts.
-
- So, I followed the instructions in the FAQ and got all the necessary utilities
- for converting Mac Type 1 to PC Type 1 fonts and then downloaded the Star Trek
- fonts that come as .HQX files. No problem! :-)
-
- This is what I did with STARTREK.HQX:
-
- First, I ran XBIN which successfully extracted STARTR.DAT :-)
-
- Then to list the .DAT archive, I used EXTRACT with the following command line:
-
- extract -l startr.dat
-
- and it displayed:
-

-
- :-)
-
- So I tried to extract all the files by typing:
- extract startr.dat -b -u
-
- and it creates a directory called NAME0001 with a file NAME0002 which
- is the READ ME file in the archive (but only that one file). If I
- specify any file with the -e option of extract, like so:
-
- extract startr.dat -b -u -f -e"StarTreCla"
-
- it displays:
- ****** ExtractorPC 1.00 ******

- All Rights Reserved
-
-
- No errors. All files were successfully extracted.
-
- but nothing gets extracted. :-(
-
- I even tried appending the type extension to it:
- extract startr.dat -b -u -f -e"StarTreCla.lwfn"
-
- it replies:
- ****** ExtractorPC 1.00 ******
- Copyright 1991 by Bill Goodman
- All Rights Reserved
-
-
- Error: Unable to find the file/folder 'STARTRECLA.LWFN'.
-
- I have only been able to extract the readme file from this and other MAC
- archives. Has anyone successfully managed to extract anything but the
- readme file?
-
- Any help is greatly appreciated!
