  12. I would like our programmers to be able to modify the lisp files in
  13. ~/emacs/lisp and have emacs use those file.  Unfortunately, our emacs
  14. (GNU) isn't even looking at those files when they are modified.  We
  15. tried to change some of the c-mode behavior and it didn't even look at
  16. the file out there.  I assume that this is because emacs has been
  17. compiled this way.  Can someone tell me how I can get GNU emacs to load
  18. its config stuff from the lisp stuff in ~/emacs/lisp?

  20. PS. And yes, we did do a byte-compile on the files after we modified them.
