  14. According to Ron Thomas of the TI DSP hotline, the 4-in-one 'C40 MCM is a
  15. project with currently shaky financial commitment. Each C40 has 1 MByte RAM
  16. (local), and all 4 share the global bus. They are thinking of sampling in mid-
  17. 1993. Heat dissipation estimated between 8 to 12 Watts (depending on duty cycle
  18. of SRAM use). Size: 2" x 2" x 0.5". Price unknown, since the funding for the
  19. project is unclear.

  21. TI is more confident about a 2-in-1 module, expected sampling early 93, 40 MHz
  22. 5-8 Watts, 2.65" x 2.65" x 0.175", $8500 <100 pieces. 128K x 32 local SRAM,
  23. EACH global bus is brought out.
  24. The reason the 4-in-1 is smaller than the 2-in-1 is that they are using a new
  25. MCM technique for the 4-in-1 fabrication.
