- I am new to the world of DSP. I am looking for a layman's description
- of how to alter the frequency of sampled data without changing the
- duration of playback.

- I will be working with 16 bit 44.1 Khz mono samples. One of the things
- I hope to do is to sample a musical instrument, sound, or noise, and
- scale it up or down and stored as patches for music synthesizers.
