  33. MORE SPECIFICALLY, you should read pages 27-32 of the Installation
  34. Guide which came with the 400. NOTE the following:
  35. 1. If you have set Option 1 (mostly FAX) or Option 2 (mostly voice)
  36. for the shared line, YOU STILL HAVE TO SET S0=n where n is the
  37. number of rings after which the DATA modem will answer. If you set
  38. S0=0 (default), the DATA modem will never answer.
  39. 2. The FAX modem will answer after the number of rings which you
  40. selected in SETUP and THIS WILL TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER THE SETTING IN
  41. THE S0 REGISTER.
  42. 3. The "trick" of picking up an EXTENSION phone and entering the #
  43. key is described there, but note that you should set your FAX
  44. modem to pickup on GREATER than 1 ring or else you won't be able to
  45. answer a VOICE call before the FAX modem picks up the line.
