- I am having a problem getting Dial back to work under Windows. I regularly log
- into a system that has dial back security. I can log into the system fine but
- when I dials back and I try to answer (through modem commands of course), my
- machine freezes up. I believe is related to screen resolution that I am using.
- I have noticed the following:
-
- 1. Dial back will only work under enhanced mode when using the generic
- VGA.DRV. Any other video drivers will cause the machine to freeze.
-
- 2. I can get dial back to work using 8514\a emulation when running windows
- under standard mode. This is not satisfactory since I still have DOS
- apps that I still use.
-
- I have a Gateway 486DX33, with a ATI Graphics Ultra Card, an ATI 2400 etc/i
- modem, a Microsoft Bus Mouse. Could someone please explain to my why I cannot
- get dial back to work under the environment I would like to under? Can anyone
- suggest to me a way that I can get this to work?
-
- Please respond directly to me, since I do not regularly read this newsgroup. I
- will be happy to post a summary of responses.
