- Okay, so this *isn't* a problem with the modem, its a problem with the
- transfer protocols? I'm digging way back, but I thought Ymodem-G was
- specifically for use with a modem using MNP error correcting protocol.
- Is your modem connecting using MNP or V42 error correction? The Gateway
- Telepath I just sent back would attempt a V42 connection first, *then*
- try the MNP connection, then fall back to no error correction (assuming
- it couldn't make the connection with V42 or MNP). Could somebody refresh
- my memory on Ymodem-G ? I'm pretty sure I remember it requiring hardware
- error correction, and I *thought* it specified MNP2-4...anybody have the
- facts?
