  13. Could someone tell me what command to put in the init string to get
  14. silent answer in a Supra V.32bis? The ability to use silent answer is
  15. included in the 1.200H version, but the small leaflet doesn't mention
  16. how to turn it on. I've noticed that the modem listens on the line,
  17. but it still sends RING messages...

  19. For those who don't know what silent answer is, it's the capability to
  20. listen for CNG tones on the phone line and not send RING messages
  21. unless they are present. This means you can have a voice/answering
  22. machine line combined with the fax modem. I would like that very much,
  23. as it would allow me to leave my fax software on all the time, waiting
  24. for possible incoming faxes.
