  20.    Your S10 register can help.

  22.    However, I'm willing to bet that, while you hear the beep, the other modem 
  23. hears nothing... and *it* hangs up.  If *both* S10 registers are increased to 
  24. 14 or so (the default's usually 7), it may solve the problem.
