  11. The modem I was having trouble with is a U-1496E, but had a U-1496E+ PC board
  12. inside.  Apparently the ZyXEL engineers don't believe this to be a problem,
  13. but replacing the PC board with an E version fixed all bugs I saw.

  15. Nick in tech support was quite helpful and got me a replacement pronto.  Kudos
  16. to them.  I'll be ordering more shortly.
