- I'vd been thinking about this ... and find it hard to justify a modem
- as a fax machine. Many things you want to FAX will be in hard copy from
- other sources ... hence the need for a SCANNER. The price of the scanner
- + modem FAR exceeds a reasonable fax machine .. and for Printing faxes,
- unless you have a laser printer, you have to deal with painfully slow and
- noisy dot matrix.
