- Has anyone had any luck getting the optimize echo cancellation command
- AT\E1 to work correctly on a Zoom v32-bis modem with or without fax. I have
- the VFX model and find that after I execute the AT\E1 command I don't get
- error correction or compression when I connect to other v.32-bis modems.
- A friend sees the same thing on the fax-less version of the Zoom v32-bis
- modem. Zoom gave me a lame excuse about the negotiation for error correction
- taking longer than other modems might like with the echo cancellation in use.
- Sounds to me like smoke to cover the fact the feature just doesn't work right.
- I have seen that the Zoom v32/32-bis driver for Microphone II 4.0 for the Mac
- has a menu item for this function so I am curious if anyone has had it work
- right. Perhaps only on the v32 modems? I have heard that some v32-bis Zoom
- modems had problems connecting to 2400 baud lines so I am curious if it
- might had worked right with an earlier set of EPROMS in the modem...
