  11. Does anyone know anything about the YORIKO range of modems?? 
  12. They are without doubt, the cheapest here in England, but I 
  13. have never read anything about them.

  15. All I know, is that they are made in the US, and the model I 
  16. wish to purchase has the following spec. :

  18. Yoriko 14.4i

  20. 14400 bps 
  21. V.32, V.32bis, MNP5, V.42bis 
  22. (up to 57600 bps effective throughput) 
  23. 14400 bps s/r Fax (G3) V.17

  25. All for just 199 pounds - equivalent to about 320 dollars.

  27. This compares with 349 pounds (560 dollars) for a Zyxel U1496E 
  28.  
  29. Modems tend to be really expensive in the UK, as the market is a 
  30. lot smaller.  A Hayes Ultra 144 costs about 670 pounds (1070 dollars)!

  32. Any comments on the Yoriko would be appreciated.
