  19. But that eliminates logical connections between those platforms that sport a
  20. common DBMS.  For instance, XBASE exists on both Mac and MS-DOS platforms.  And
  21. where does that leave MS-DOS Oracle questions? (I suppose that isn't a problem,
  22. given the existence of an Oracle-specific newsgroup -- but the principle
  23. remains).
