- There is a second way to compress GIFs as well... using GIFLITE, which *is*
- a lossy compression, unlike GIFBLAST. However, the author of the program
- claims that the information which is discarded is only that which is
- impossible to detect with the human eye. Images worked on by GIFLITE
- are still viewable, and I couldn't really tell the difference (though
- the files were certainly different.) I'm not sure how well these two
- programs would work in concert, though I suspect there would be fairly
- improved savings.
