  14. I have an inquiry from a friend of mine regarding the above.  He has
  15. been approached by an organization which wishes to create their own
  16. BBS whereby people can log on from all over the world and work with
  17. uploading/downloading files as well as multiway talk sessions.

  19. The preferred operating system would be UNIX.  The system is intended
  20. to be hooked up to a rotary line system so that the people only get a
  21. busy signal when there are no lines left to access.
  22.  
  23. This system must be relatively easy to use and administer.  There may
  24. be more systems brought online in the future, and they also wish to be
  25. able to connect these systems in a manner such that they can all communicate.
  26. (hmmm I need to clarify if that is in "real time" as well)

  28. The hardware underlying the system is not already set, although the
  29. preference is a PC-Compatible type system.

  31. There is some urgency on this matter, since the initial meeting occurs
  32. Tuesday.. (Don't complain to me.. I'm just posting this <grin>)
