  18. This position is to be filled for the Fall of 1993.  The University of South
  19. Florida is the second largest school in Florida, with approximately 34,000 
  20. total students.  It is a comprehensive research university.  The Department 
  21. is a young dynamic group of faculty.  There are about 60 full time graduate
  22. students at the M.S. and Ph.D. level and another 50 part time students.
  23. The Tampa campus is the main campus with over 25,000 students and all of the
  24. graduate programs.  Tampa is an urban city with many cultural attractions.  
  25. We are close to the beach, Disney World, and some fine museums. We desire 
  26. excellent research potential or accomplishments and the ability to be an 
  27. outstanding teacher.  The position will be for the Assistant or Associate
  28. level depending upon qualifications.  We are interested in people with 
  29. interests in machine learning, knowledge representations, modern expert
