- This is being done. It will take time to get the state to publish this
- list. But there are some things we do know--most of the contributions
- were from individuals, not businesses. Perkins' Chrysler is one example.
- Karl Mecklenberg of the Denver Broncos is another. It's easy to target
- businesses, but there's little you can do about individuals.

-
- And finally the true reason for all this. Small businesses like yours
- *should* be hurt by the boycott. There is a price to be paid for
- intolerance and discrimination, and we're all going to have to pay it.
- The 48% of Coloradans who didn't vote for hate have allowed it to fester
- here for too long, and have given it safe haven in Colorado Springs.
- Until now the rest of the state has been content to allow this to go on.
- They have known for years how the character of Colorado Springs has been
- changing, but most people chose to ignore it. Not going to the Springs
- and avoiding the issue isn't good enough.

-
- I'm sorry, but abrogation of my rights is more than just a "diversionary
- tactic". It seems that equal rights for women and pro-choice issues are
- just as important to you as overturning Amendment 2 is to many of us. Just
- don't forget, a lot of gay people stood beside you in the fight for women's
- rights and the right to choose. We still stand by you in that because it
- is the right thing to do. We supported your cause not only with our votes
- but with our money and our time. Have you done the same?

-
- What makes you think we haven't thought about it? How have you supported
- our rights? You may have voted no on 2, and that's a good place to start,
- but it is only a start. If you feel strongly enough to believe people
- shouldn't boycott Colorado and hurt your business, you should be willing
- to provide more support against the matter that started this. How about
- some of your money, time, and effort for the cause? That would show me
- that you're sincere about supporting our rights and not just paying lip
- service to get our business.
