  15. To Melinda and others who are pushing for a boycott of  Colorado and its
  16. products:

  18. Just a few thoughts from someone wo:

  20. a) voted against discrimination in all its forms b) never underestimated th
  21. stupidity of human beings...

  23. It occurs to me that if you all were really intothe idea of a boycott, you'd
  24. be busy looking up the names of the big businessesthat donated money and
  25. support to the groups who foisted this amendment off on all of us.  For
  26. starters, you'd have to get a list of contribtors to Colorado for Family
  27. Values -- like a certain car dealership in the Coloado Springs area -- and
  28. put pressure on those companies to explain why they supported such hateful
  29. legislation.  Your boycott will hurt small business like ine much more than
  30. it will hurt these large corporations (chevy comes to mind) - and of course
  31. those companies won't care too much if little companies die on he vine.  But,
  32. if their profits start to hurt -- they'll think twice.  In otherwords,
  33. consider doing what we all were supposed to do when boycotting companies that
  34. invesed in South Africa.  Hurt the companies who contributed to hate when
  35. they donatd money to the ultra-right groups who are trying to force this down
  36. the throatsof the 48% of Coloradans who didn't vote for hate.

  38. Another thought -- while we're all feasting on the bones of small companes
  39. that die because of the boycott, don't forget for a minute that the so-calle
  40. Christian Right is still out there legislating against equal rights for women
  41. nd for the opportunity to force women to bear children.  If we don't watch
  42. our lanks, maybe this little diversionary tactic will work this time...
